Attention to details, the walls and surface of the central cooking and dining table are finished in a patchwork of green hued marble laced with irregular lines of tarnished brass metalwork. This is a tribute to the tradition of kintsugi – the timeless art that is considered to be a refined expression of beauty through imperfection. The two tepan tables seating up to 16 guests as the performances scheduled from 6pm to 8:30pm. Mizũmi comes with a generous program of flexible event rooms where groups up to 40 can gather in largely separate areas. These rooms are situated to take advantage of the best views of Hanoi and the lake, and alongside this panorama is a story from the traditionalartisan culture of Japan, a concept that inspired art and detail finishing of the space. These events rooms have been conceived as an aizome workshop, where the process of indigo dyeing over years of work has given the wall tapestries, wood furniture and ceramic vessels their stained blue hues.
Mizũmi Sky Lounge was designed to create a wonderful variety of inward and outward looking gatherings on our rooftop space. In keeping with another Japanese bar tradition, the bartenders and DJ helm the venue together and their stations are the pulsing heart of the whole space.
The pool deck is designed as a viewing platform for the entire Hanoi’s skyline, where the pool blends with West Lake’s backdrop, further opening the panoramic space. The rooftop as a whole follows the concept of “Karesansui” – a Japanese contemplation garden with an infinity pool. This unique creation offers guests a wonderful social experience whilst enjoying fresh cocktails in sun-kissed lounge.
